Host: The next person we have with us is someone who has taken the UK by storm. Literally, she has been in our mouths and ears for the past month and tonight, she is here with us to discuss her new found fame.
FLORENCE AND HER NEW FOUND FAME
You know, it’s something that I have to constantly pinch myself to make sure its real. Everything happened so fast and I didn’t really realize how intense it would be. But I have to say I will not be taking this for granted that’s for sure. I am extremely lucky that my country accepted, loved, and listened to my very personal song. I can’t wait for you guys to hear more of it in the future, that’s for sure!
WHAT IS NEXT FOR FLORENCE
This will actually be my last night in the UK. I'll be going to the United States to continue promoting my lead single, “Only If For A Night”. I haven’t been there in a while, and I have never been there to perform my music so it is going to be a new experience. I know the song is charting a bit in the states but for the most part, since I am a new artist, they most likely don’t know who I am. I just hope that they’ll accept me just as well as the United Kingdom accepted me. Fingers crossed!

Ava: Yeah oh my god, I was on the floor crying when heard about the charts I truly thought I was dreaming, I'm very very grateful for my fans and I love them so much for this.
Ellen: well you truly deserve all the success you're having, but we need to address the elephant in the room, which is the Hair, you call it the Max Cut?
Ava: well yeah it is called the Max Cut
Ellen: Whats the story behind it?
Ava: this is so embarrassing oh my god, so I had some cookies baking while I was in the middle of cutting my hair and I just had cut one side of my hair off and I smell something burning and it was the cookies! so I quickly dropped the scissors and went to see the cookies, sadly they were burnt and dead, but then I looked at myself in the mirror and I fell in love with it, cause it's original and it felt me so that's the origins of the Max-Cut!
Ellen: well you might of burned your cookies but you got a new look doing it so guess its a win win situation!, after the break Ava will perform her hit Single "Sweet But Psycho" we will be right back

DRAKE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE "NONSTOP"
The big news was shared via OVO Sound's official instagram account, through a post that contained the song title as well as the release date.
Fans were surprised to see the new single by the Canadian rapper is coming in less than 24 hours, on July 3rd.
This marks the first release from the star in nearly 5 years, whose 4th studio album coming later this year is widely anticipated.
"Nonstop" is out on every platform tonight at midnight.

K: I love that you try to spread positivity through your music and help others
N: Well to be honest, when I am writing music and coming up with song concepts I usually start out just writing for myself. Making songs is kind of cathartic in a way for me so I usually do not even think about the impact a song could have on listeners until after it is done. When we have it recorded and are in the final processes of mixing and mastering is when I finally sit down and am like, oh, maybe this could really help someone out. Or am like this song is actually really messed up and maybe it would be problematic to release

I: It is my pleasure. Let us get right to business. Your new single Link Up dropped a week ago and us here at WBLS have been playing it on loop. The listeners seem to be connecting with it really well and we have had dozens of people call in and request it. How did you manage to craft such a catchy trap banger
N: Believe it or not, this song actually was made in a short amount of time. It was probably the first song I started working on for the album... well actually I had worked on other songs for the album before but I was not really connecting with them that well because they were not coming from the heart and not what I wanted to do musically. Anyways it was the first song I worked on that is going to make the album. I had the idea for it the weekend after I ended a long term relationship and was a complete wreck. Then one of my best friends came into my house and dragged me out and told me I can not just mope around all day. So she dragged me to some party and I completely hated it and wanted to leave the whole time and my friend kept telling me I will just feel worse if I go home and am alone. She was like "bad bitches need to stick together and link up". Then the next day LaToya, my manager, sent me some beats that my team had shopped around for and once I heard Hitmaka's beat the song instantly came to me

Tonight we have global pop phenomenon Hailee Steinfeld here to perform her smash debut single Love Myself, give it up for her guys!
The lights turn over to Hailee, and so does the camera. The lighting to the stage is lit light purple, and Hailee is wearing a white Sweden national soccer team jersey and short jeans, with converses. As the instrumental of Love Myself starts, Hailee looks up to the camera. Steinfeld sings, "When I get tears at night, i feel it deep inside, without you..." as she sings into the mic confidently. This continues into the chorus as her backup dancers come out of nowhere. "Man I love myself and I don't need anybody else!" as Hailee sings with confidence and elegance, while hitting choreo that flows with her backup dancers. Hailee slowed down as she hit the second verse and bridge, and exploded again into Love Myself's last chorus. She belted perfectly as the choreo Hailee and her dancers hit were executed right as well.
A graphic of Love Myself's promotion tabs came on the screen after, telling viewers to buy the song on iTunes and stream on Flux.

N: Well for me I go to the gym like once a week and then I always have dance rehearsals because it is part of my job to stay in shape so I can perform. If I were not a singer I would probably not be as skinny. My tip is just find some form of exercise that you enjoy and do it. Do not worry about whether you are good at it or too weak or whatever

Are you surprised about Love Myself's success in South Korea?:
Yes actually, it quite surprised me. I never thought a song of mine would actually do well here because of the language barrier and all. However, you guys surprised me. I can only thank my South Korean Hailiens and my team.
There's been rumors of a debut album already on the horizon, can we confirm or deny?:
Actually we can't confirm or deny unfortunately. However, when the time is right, you guys will know firsthand. Actually, all my Hailiens will. They think they can read me like a book but I'm like playing with all of their emotions right now. Just wait and see.
Well since we can't get that info about the album, can we get a name or a specific hint?:
Well I've actually been dropping hints all these past couple of weeks on my socials. But the name is dear to my heart and is soething I hold with pride about myself everyday as a human being, and especially a woman. I feel like you need to have this certain thing to make it the farthest you can in life. By the way, that's another hint Hailiens!
Who's your favorite K-Pop group?
I absolutely loved 2NE1 when I was growing up, they're actually one of the reasons how I discovered Pop in general. Crazy how it wasn't western driven pop that had my attention fully. I loved them, as well as Girls Generation. The vibe you guys have over there is truly amazing.

N: Well I have a very concrete concept and a temporary title that could possibly become permanent and I already have a lot of songs but it feels like every day I stumble upon a new idea that I feel like the album can not survive without so I can not really say exactly how far along I am but the album definitely still needs a bit until I feel like it is perfect.
I: I am happy that despite working so much, you have not lost your creative drive. Let us hope this means the album release is not too far away

How did you know that Love Myself was the song to properly debut you in the music industry?:
I had a feeling in my heart, especially writing it first hand. I wanted a different debut from the typical sexy and sweet debut from a Pop girl. i wanted to especially inspire others and put a smile on their faces while doing it. It was only right for Love Myself to be the song, with the message and beyond catchy melody.
Do you have any Latin influences in your music?:
I loved Selena growing up, her look and the purity of her vocals were so beautiful. It's unfortunate that a talent like that got taken from us, but I definitely have some of her influence into my music. It's only right that I can pay tribute to such a legend like that personally in my music. I also hate the name Yolanda, that bitch can rot baby.
Is an album really coming?
I can't confirm or deny that papis! I can only say that when it's time for one, it's time for one. However, it's really sooner than what you all think. Like, i mean actually sooner than what's currently sitting in your head. I don't lie either! Most people will be surp-, you know what, let me shut up! Just pay attention!
Your favorite country in Latin America?:
It has to be Mexico, it has a certain flavor and style that the other countries just can't compete or compare. However, I like the Dominican Republic too. One of my childhood friends are actually from there. The food in the region is so spectacular.

Shawn: I’m great thank you, I’m a little tired since I was out partying after my Colbert appearance last night but happy to be here nonetheless.
Host: Huge congrats on the performance it was great, so creative. Where did you get the inspiration for it from?
Shawn: You know with this song, the production is so visual to me. When we were making it I kept getting visions of me performing it in some like underground pop rave or something with really bright flashing lights, the chorus has that kind of electric feeling. So I’ve tried to incorporate that into my performances and some of the music video.
Host: Did we just get an exclusive on the music video?
Shawn: Oops! I did not mean to say that but my fans probably guessed it anyway. I’m really excited to put it out, it should be coming out in a few weeks if everything goes to plan. We just finished shooting it last week and I can’t even tell you how much fun it was, probably the most enjoyable few days of my career *laughs*. It was just such a fun creative atmosphere and everyone on set was a great friend of mine, I had some family there too.
Host: Well we cannot wait to see it! Is that how you felt making ‘MY MY MY!’, too?

Earlier today (June 27th), Camila Cabello called into Germany’s hit radio station, Antenne 1, as part of the promotional campaign for her newly released debut single “She Loves Control”.
Right off the bat, the radio host asked Camila how she’s feeling after “She Loves Control” has officially been out for over 24 hours: “I’ve had this amazing rush for the past day. It’s almost like a high. I’m loving it! I’m just so happy that everyone seems to be loving the song. You know, while we musicians can be amazingly confident in our work, we truly never know how it’s going to be received by our fans and the public. But so far the response has been amazing! I was trending on Twitter all day yesterday! My name alone. Just Camila Cabello… I’ve never done that before! My phone was blowing up all day long with congratulations. Everything has just been perfect so far! Let’s hope it continues!”
Further on in the interview, the host asked Camila Cabello what her biggest goals are in her solo career: “I accomplished so much as a part of Fifth Harmony. We had hits, toured the world, and most importantly gained the best fans in the world. I just hope I can maintain all of that! I cannot wait to go on my own solo tour! I’ve already begun planning out different concepts I want for it. I am dying to perform all around the world again, and I’m for sure going to come and perform for you guys in Germany!”, she continued, “But as for my biggest goals, I really really realllllyy want a Grammy nomination and a performance there. Since I was 4 I remember watching the Grammys and dreaming of that being me one day on TV. I sadly didn’t get to reach that goal while in Fifth Harmony, but I’m praying that now that I’m solo and making music that is true to myself, the Grammys can finally recognize me”, she said ending with a big smile on her face.
After the interview, Camila thanked the host for allowing her to call into the show today. The host then proceeded to remind the audience that “She Loves Control” is out everywhere now, and played it on the station.

N: Well yeah, I am definitely better equipped to deal with everything that comes with being a musician in the public eye due to my time in Fifth Harmony and I am quite grateful I got the chance to get used to this lifestyle there with all these other talented girls. I mean you know Ally and Lauren were always the rocks of our group and really held us down when all of this was getting too much. Then Dinah was always the most empathetic of the group and I could always talk to her when I had any problems and now I do not have that. That does not mean the solo singer life is all bad though
TN: What are some positives?
N: Well the most obvious of course is that I get to make music that is fully and completely mine. It follows my artistic vision and tells my story and that was probably the main reason why I and the other girls decided it was time to split

With those words the camera pans to the main stage where Normani and the dance show contestant are standing at the center of the stage, dressed in fresh and hip late 90s style street clothing. Link Up begins to play and the two start performing their choreo. Normani does not sing along as she focuses all her energy on delivering a thrilling dance performance. The two women dance around, perform acrobatics and move their bodies in ways that shock the audience. For the second half of the song they choose to perform a more risque and very sexual choreography. They grind their bodies up on each other and perform suggestive dance moves that usually are not allowed on network television. Once they are done, they bow as the crowd showers them with praise and a standing ovation.

This morning (June 29th), London’s pop music radio station, Heart Radio, was graced by a telephone interview with Camila Cabello during the JK and Brook show.
On how she decided to pick “She Loves Control” as her debut single:
“‘She Loves Control’ was the first song that I wrote, for my upcoming album. So it always had a special place in my heart. When my label, Atlantic, approached me to ask which song I was leaning towards, my gut just told me to say ‘She Loves Control’. When they first heard it, they weren’t so sure about the sound. My Fifth Harmony songs were all really bubblegum pop, while ‘She Loves Control’ has a more mature, latin element to it. It took weeks of begging, but they finally came around to agree that it’s the perfect sound. I just hope the public agrees too (laughs)!”
On her favourite things about the UK:
“About everything you guys do! First of all, I’m obsessed with the accents! (imitates British accent) Can I get some tea and crumpets? (laughs) But seriously, the accents are just so nice and posh… posh, that’s another thing I love about y’all. The vocabulary is so much better than ugly American slang! I’m also obsessed with the Royal Family...like obsessed! The day Prince Harry and Meghan got married, I literally woke up at 4 am to watch. I was totally not crying when they said their vows! (laughs) Ugh, I cannot wait to visit the Uk again, hopefully it’s real soon!”
On her favourite songs at the moment:
“‘She Loves Control’ obviously! (laughs) But besides my own, I’ve been really vibing to ‘All The Time’ by Ty Dolla $ign! He’s just so darn talented, and I love his ambient sound so much! I: Well I found out recently that you are actually best friends with Hailee Steinfeld who of course is a massively talented actress, but she also recently broke out into the music scene with a single titled Love Myself. How did your friendship come about?
N: We have known each other for years. We met backstage at some award show while I was still with Fifth Harmony in like 2015 or 2016 and every since then we have been inseparable. She is just such a wonderful and talented human being and she is so f*cking talented. Love Myself is my jam and she played me some of her upcoming music and it is absolutely killer.
I: Have you shared some of your music with her?
N: I played her Link Up of course and she has been very supportive of that. I have not played her anything else that is going to make the album yet, but she will definitely be one of the first people to hear my album @jonnyy
