On new hit single "Nonstop"
It is my most recent song, the first one from my album and one I have been waiting to release for over a year now. To finally have it out has been the most exciting thing. I love this song and seeing everyone react to it and give it so much love and appreciation has been extremely rewarding. It might sound like a simple song, but I think it really sets the tone for my album and really depicts where I am right now in terms of career and personal life.
On jumping on the remix of now Hot 100 chart-topper hit single "Sticky"
Victoria's team reached out and I heard the song and I had no way of saying no. The song is a banger and I knew it would do numbers the moment I heard it. I knew we could make something really cool so we hung out in the studio for like 5 or 6 hours and the remix was born. I am very proud of her and the song deserves every bit of success and recognition it is getting.
On collaborating with monster brand NIKE
It is a bit intimidating, not gonna lie. The expectations are very high and NIKE always pushes the bar higher and higher. So I am a little nervous, but at the same time, extremely excited. I think dope things are going to come out of our partnership and I want to thank NIKE once again for trusting me and my vision.

The meaning of Passion:
The meaning of my debut album is basically having the courage and will to do anything that your Passion describes to you, mine was always the music industry and I worked my ass off to get to where I am today. I want people to feel inspired and refreshed every time they stream "Passion". Especially my dear Hailiens, they love the message so much.
Song on Passion that means the most to Steinfeld:
It'll have to be In's and Out's, since I wrote the song when I was literally at my lowest. Plus it's self-written from me, so it's highly personal and I find it one of my best songwriting efforts ever. I love it so much. I feel like the most personal song after that is Love Myself, my single right now! And Love Myself's lyrics speaks for themselves.
The meaning behind Passion's album cover:
I chose to do a stripped album photoshoot for Passion since I wanted a simple, yet nostalgic effect. And I especially wanted that to show on the album cover.That's where the huge swing comes in, me showing where I was as a child most of the time to a grown adult figure on that swing.

This morning on the show we have a platinum selling pop star who just recently released her debut album "Passion". She's here to discuss the album and to perform "Love Myself" for us later on, please help me welcome Hailee Steinfeld!
The meaning of Passion:
The meaning of the album is to basically follow your dreams, no matter the circumstance. Your ambition for you Passion will get you where you need to go. I decided for my debut album to have this theme since I wanted this since I was a little girl. I’m so grateful that it’s happening to me now. I never would’ve thought it would happen full circle like this.
Describe Passion’s sound:
Passion’s sound is pure pop, and very assessable for everyone to hear. Although, the topics just aren’t regular cookie cutter Pop. I talk about real issues that myself and others have experienced while being a young adult in society. I wrap those topics up into catchy melodies and addicting production for you to keep streaming!
UK Hailiens favorite song off Passion?
Actually, my biggest UK hailien fan page on Twitter actually did a poll of the best song on Passion, and Sue Me won with 30%. Now, that foesn’t mesn it will be a single so calm down Hailiens. I’m weighing all my options, plus I’m still pushing Love Myself right now. When the time is right, I’ll start discussing.
Last remarks before performing Love Myself?:

Hailee, while on the side of the stage, comes towards the center. Steinfeld is wearing a white spiked leather jacket, a white crop top, and white leggings with black heels. When Hailee starts vocalizing the first verse and chorus to Love Myself, her backup dancers come up from behind her. The choreo ramps up during the last Love Myself chorus, while Hailee continues to blow through the song vocally. She walks towards something that is obscured from our view at first. Then the camera shifts and we see that she is walking towards a sun. The sun shines bright despite being seemingly dozens and dozens of miles away somewhere in the infinite pale blue sky. Normani walks and walks and walks for what are supposed to be hours but are shown in a very short and very compact 10 second montage. Throughout the montage she gets weaker and weaker and more and more unmotivated. Finally at the end of it her legs give in and she drops to the ground. Her skin is almost turning blue from the immense cold. Suddenly it starts raining. At first just a little but then more and more and more and more. The rain seemingly begins to give Normani some kind of strength to slowly get back up. Once she is fully standing she extends her arms and lets the rain fall everywhere on her body (we are still only looking at her backside). Suddenly the rain on her body begins to crystallize. The camera then slowly pans around her entire body to reveal that the rain drops are turning into a very revealing silk dress completely embroidered with sparkling and utterly stunning VVS diamonds (as pictured above). Then Normani waves her hand, motioning for the camera to come closer and it complies. The camera slowly zooms into Normani's face as she sensually whispers: "Rafaello, VVSs, bling bling" and then winks and blows us a kiss.

Tonight on the show we have a global phenomenon who just recently released her debut album titled "Passion", please help we welcome Hailee Steinfeld!
Hailee on Passion's sound:
It's very pure pop, but it doesn't have the traditional topics that pure pop has. Usually in the genre we have mindless sex songs with no purpose, every song on Passion has a purpose. It's not like that with me, it will never be. I had to make Passion, my debut album, have meaning like that. From mental health awareness to body positivity, my debut album, Passion, covers the real issues that young adults face. One of the reasons why I titled the album "Passion".
Hailee on Passion only having 9 songs:
I feel like when albums go past 13 tracks, they have a way higher chance of filler. Below that, your chances decrease. And all my favorite albums of the past had an odd number of tracks, so I just chose 9. Plus I've had good luck with that number in the past, my debut single Love Myself debuted at that number on many charts worldwide.
Hailee on the future:
I'm continuing to push Passion and my current single Love Myself until my label and myself see fit where we can start to push another single, until then it will be how it has always been. But next month I have a couple of surprises, so my Hailiens will have to wait and see!
After this commercial break, Steinfeld will be back to perform her outbreak smash from the album "Passion", Love Myself.
The camera pans over to the performance stage, which is suddenly lit light lavender. The background graphic is set to Love Myself's video, while the instrumental to Love Myself starts. Hailee then comes out from the back of the stage. Steinfeld is wearing an all black jumper with stilettos heels. Hailee's live band is also in the background on stage. After Hailee vocalizes the first verse and chorus, her backup dancers come up from behind her. Then the Love Myself choreo begins. During the choruses, the choreo ramps up heavily. During the 2nd verse and bridge, Hailee and her backup dancers slow down the choreo. Then during the last chorus, the choreo hits harder than it ever did. At the end of the Love Myself performance, Hailee hits the huge high note at the end of Love Myself. Hailee then smiles and winks at the camera.

FLORENCE ON AMERICAN IDOL
That performance was so amazing. And seeing all the positive reviews and praises it is getting is so comforting. When I perform there is some sort of spirit that just takes over and I just take a back seat when it is happening. Sometimes, I don’t even remember what happened in the show, it is that intense of a high! The rush is so much that it feels like it is not me there. And I say that because you know I’m actually quite a quiet person and calm and nimble, but my performances are something completely opposite. It is so weird, and I do not even know where I get this energy from. But that performance at American Idol was heaps of fun. I wish I could go back again and again. The audience was so into it and they sang with me, it was like having a live choir with me the entire time chanting Only If For A Night.
FLORENCE ON THE ALBUM
The album actually is just about done. This is kind of the first time I am calling it an album because I usually called it a project. Mainly because I didn’t know if it would have been a full length album or an EP. But my record label wanted me to go the full length. I am so grateful for that. The album does have a name but that will be released at a later date. And there are hmm… I think ten songs on the album. Could be more in the future is something sparks me. But there is no release date yet, but it will most likely be in the end of August or September. I am very excited about it.

As the music begins, the background is filled with the newly released music video for Only If For A Night. As Florence starts with the first verse, “And I had a dream” she first takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. Her head slowly descends as she is now in eye contact with the audience. As she continues to the pre-chorus her left hand touches her chest, right above her breasts and then her left hand extends to the left. She does the same with her right hand and by the time she is at the chorus she explodes and pumps her chest out a single time. When the second verse comes, she is back to her calm demeanor. By the time the second chorus come back she leaps to the right of the stage and works the audience. At the end of the song the host, Seth reminds everyone to buy and stream both versions of Only if For A Night.

FLORENCE ON THE MUSIC VIDEO
The music video took about a week to shoot and complete, and when I got to watch it for the first time, I was balling! It was perfect really. I remember the first day of shooting the video and I was all over the place. I did not even get a good night of sleep the day before because I was so anxious about everything being perfect. And then I kind of had to let that go because I know if its art from my heart, hey that rhymed. If it truly was genuine, it would be perfect already. And I suppose I was right! Vince Haycock really is a genius about everything that he does. I am eternally grateful for his work and everyone’s work on the music video. It is getting so much praise and I am so happy about that.
FLORENCE ON WORKING WITH DUA LIPA
The remix of Only If For A Night has Dua Lipa on it, and working with her was so fantastic. She really knows how to sing these dance pop songs and she does it so well. I was hearing the first cut of it and remember just gasping like… wow this is still Only If For A Night? But in a good way. I was so surprised what she did with it sonically. Its actually out everywhere now. You might as well stream both versions to compare haha.
PERFORMANCE OF ONLY IF FOR A NIGHT
The visuals and audio of the music video are playing behind Florence and her band. As the music starts, Florence is behind a skinny mic stand. Her hands clasps on the mic and as her eyes open, she starts singing the first verse to her smash hit song “Only If For A Night”. As the loud bombastic chorus begins, Florence rips the mic off of the stand and runs to the left side of the stage, still behind her band. She expends her left hand to mimic a slow snake while slowly moving her fingers. When the second verse comes up, Florence is back in the middle of the stage and as the second chorus progresses, she now jets to the right side of the stage and dances in her slow snake like motions. Hello my name is Florence and I will be going through the lyrics of my song, Only If For A Night.
Verse 1:
“And I had a dream
About my old school
And she was there all pink and gold and glittering
I threw my arms around her legs

Well, this was quite literally a dream that I had. It felt so real which was the weirdest thing about it all. Everything felt so new, like the first day of school and everything felt so beautiful. It was such a weird feeling that I cannot even come to describe.
Pre-Chorus:
“And I heard your voice
As clear as day
And you told me I should concentrate
It was all so strange
And so surreal
That a ghost should be so practical
Only if for a night”
This is the first time I actually heard what my grandmother sounded like. I lost her before I was born so the fact that my brain could put a voice to her was just amazing. Yes, I’ve seen photos of her but never in person. I didn’t know how she acted, but in this dream, it seems like my brain had recognized and remembered this person.
Chorus:
And the only solution was to stand and fight
And my body was bruised and I was set alight
But you came over me like some holy rite
And although I was burning, you're the only light
Only if for a night
In the dream, my grandmother that I had just met for the first time is giving me advice which seems really weird haha. But the advice was good. It was practical even coming from a ghost. Wow, you know, I think I am the only person right now making actual meaningful, good music. Sometimes, I surprise myself.
Verse 2:
“And the grass was so green against my new clothes
And I did cartwheels in your honour
Dancing on tiptoes
My own secret ceremonials
Before the service began
In the graveyard doing handstands”
Basically, my grandmother and I are kind of catching up on the time we missed out while I was a young girl. This part in the music video actually made me cry the most because the bond between the actors are actually granddaughter and grandmother. It really is a beautiful bond that they have.
Bridge:
“My doe, my dear, my darling
Tell me what all the sighing's about
Tell me what all the sighing's about”
This part is actually my grandmother, and what she says. My parents told me that she does say “My doe, my dear, my darling” so my brain automatically made that in the dream. And plus, I just had to put it in the song. I really love the bridge.
Outro:
“Only if for a night”
Singing this part and hearing it layered over and over and over again was one of the best production things on the track. I really love the outro and I love hearing you all sing it when I am performing live.

Normani decides to serve a simple performance for Link Up. The stage is set up with nothing but a single stripper pole at the center that goes from the ground up all the way up to the roof. Then the instrumental for Link Up begins to play and Normani struts onto the stage, dressed in her usual black leotard with her make up looking fierce and on point. For the first half of the performance she ignores the stripper pole and performs at the front of the stage, confidently singing the lyrics and busting out some simple moves. Then as the beat switches she walks to the stripper pole and performs a very sexual and raunchy choreo on the pole.
Interview
S: Ladies and gentlemen, that was Normani performing her hit single Link Up. Was she not amazing?
N: Aw, you are too sweet
S: So I was shocked when I was looking at my instagram feed when i woke up today morning and I saw you post that you had just dropped a brand new single.
N: Oh yeah I wanted to surprise my fans with a little gift because they have been so supportive of me ever since the release of Link Up
S: Had you planned on releasing it?

The curtains drop to reveal a bathtub completely filled with diamonds at the center of the stage. The instrumental for Link Up begins to play and Normani's head emerges from the bath tub. She is wearing a stunning blonde wig. Most of her body is still covered in diamonds but you can already see that she is wearing an expensive white fur coat and a golden chain. She begins to sing the track as women of all shapes and sizes dressed in fierce clothing and wearing Rafaello custom chains step onto the stage. At first they just stand around Normani's bathtub and bop their heads to the beat but once the beat switches, Normani gets out of the bathtub, drops her coat to reveal a sexy skintight onesie and begins to sing the second half of the song. The women perform an accompanying dance.
Warning Performance
Normani's performance for Warning is much simpler and more stripped back than her extravagant performance for Link Up. It begins with Normani standing at the front of the stage behind a mic stand. Her hair is back to her natural black. Silver tears are painted running down her eyes. She is dressed in a cute little white dress. Suddenly the instrumental for Warning begins to play and then once we hear the words "Metro Boomin want some more ni**a", a large black screen flashes on behind her and she begins to sing the track. As she sings the track, creepy imagery flashes on the screen behind her to match the dark tone of the track.
Skit
Normani's skit is a parody of the iconic car drive scene from the 2004 cult classic "White Chicks". In the movie two black men go undercover as white girls and in the car drive scene, the men disguised as white girls are in the car with a few white high schoolers and almost blow their cover when they sing the n-word along to a song playing on the radio

I: Yeah I loved your performances and your skit. I mean your Warning performance was cute but your performance of Link Up...whew. It was so fun and badass to watch. You were truly born to be on stage. Every time I watch you perform you always absolutely kill it
N: Thank you. I always try my best with performances because I have loved to dance and be on stage since literally before I could walk.
I: I am sure you will also do something great with the performance that you are about to deliver after our little chat
N: I certainly hope so
I: Also have I already mentioned how funny that skit was? How did that come about?
N: Well I have to be honest with you, I did not really have anything to do with the writing or the coming up with the concept of the skit. On the first day of rehearsals the crew came to me and showed me a bunch of ideas for skits and asked if I would like to be in one and i found the White Chiks spoof really funny so I gladly agreed to star in it. Honestly it is so crazy to go on SNL and see how much work the entire cast and crew puts in. Everything that you see each Saturday is done in less than a week. The amount of talent on that show is honestly overwhelming. I have to admit I did feel a bit out of place sometimes working with all those professionals but they tried their best to make it enjoyable.

- For this special performance of Link Up Normani shocks the audience. At first the stage is black and everything is silent but then we suddenly hear foot steps. But the foot steps do not sound like human foot steps, more like hoof steps. Finally the lights flash on to reveal Normani riding a horse on stage. She is dressed in a completely iced out custom Rafaello cowboy outfit, complete with a purple cowboy hat that has the letter "N" engraved at the front in diamonds. After riding around for a few seconds, she rides the horse to the center of the stage, the instrumental for Link Up begins to play and she sings the track. As she sings four hot men, dressed in nothing but underwear, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat walk onto the stage and perform a sexy choreo, complete with shaking their ass and grinding onto the floor to accompany Normani's stellar singing.

K: So I just found out that you are the face of a luxury jewelry brand called Rafaello, right?
N: Yeah I am
K: What is that like?
N: Oh it is so fun. I have loved Rafaello for years and every time I am in NYC for anything other than work I make sure to go there. Aside from everyone just being so dope and down to earth, they also by far have the best jewelry in the world. I mean I am absolutely in love with their cuban links. So naturally getting to work with them and be a part of the brand was a dream come true for me
R: And how does it feel to have your face plastered on billboards and in advertisements now?
N: To be honest, and I am really not trying to sound cocky or anything, I am already kinda used to all the seeing my face everywhere. I mean even back when I was in Fifth Harmony I would see our faces every time I was in a big city that had massive billboards. It was a bit annoying and intimidating at first but you know, it comes with the job. And it would be unfair of me to complain because that is an extremely low price to pay for all the great things that come with this job.
R: I can imagine being a singer has its ups and its downs

Camila: Awh, thank you so much!
Host: And, your confidence is just amazing! Going solo in your career is no easy task, yet you’re handling it so well.
Camila: Yeah, it’s really not so easy. And I think it’s something a lot of people can relate to. For me, it might be leaving a group and releasing music on my own, but for someone else, it can be being promoted to a manager, or even becoming their own boss. Confidence is needed to succeed. I’m thankful that thus far I have been able to remain confident in myself.
Host: I’m sure you will continue to! While you are still early on in your career, are there any goals you have?
Camila: I have a lot of goals! I don’t even know where to start!
Host: (laughs) Well, limit yourself to your first album. What goals do you have set for the next year or so?
Camila: Hmmm… A Grammy for sure. It’s been one of my dreams for the longest.
Host: Well, has it?
Camila: Yes! I remember being a little girl and watching the ceremony wishing that that could be me on stage performing and waiting for my name to be read off an envelope. Even if I just get the chance to perform at the Grammys in the next year, I’ll be extremely blessed.
Host: I definitely not only see you performing at the Grammys but winning some too!

Host: Tell us about the song. What does it mean to you?
Camila: The song is extremely important to me. I do find it very personal. Now I know that that’s a weird thing to say as the song is not a traditional personal ballad, but very upbeat, however, the lyrics are really true to me. I wrote the song just as I began to take control of both my personal life and career. Because of that, it’s become like an anthem to me. A testament of my power.
Host: I’m sure it has become an anthem to many people. Definitely to my teenage daughter who plays it every 10 minutes!
Camila: (laughs) Tell her she has good music taste!

For the first verse, the silhouette remains standing mostly in the same position, occasionally swaying to the side. The chorus has the silhouette begin to go all out in choreography. At the second verse, the silhouette walks across the screen. Right as the chorus is about to kick back in, the silhouette runs off-screen and it’s revealed to be Camila Cabello. She walks to the center of the stage while singing the chorus. The bridge of the song has lights begin to dim as Camila sultry sings. The lights return for the final chorus, which has Camila return to perform the choreography she was doing earlier behind the screen. The performance ends and Camila smiles.

After being introduced by the hosts, the camera panned to the empty stage, which immediately was lit up red as the beat to "Nonstop" started playing and the audience started cheering. As more lights started pointing to the stage, it was revealed that Drake was sitting in a golden throne, wearing a completely white outfit. The throne was set on top of a cilindrical platform that spinned around slowly. Drake performed the song vigorously, alternating from being on the throne and platform to walking around the empty stage, or even interacting with the roaring audience. When the performance ended, the hosts came back onstage with a cardboard cutout of the "Nonstop" artwork, greeted Drake and reminded the audience that the song is now available for purchase or stream on every platform.

Commentary: this line is basically me saying I've been doing this for a very long time and tried so many things. Sounds, lyrical content. It is basically telling about my experience and all the things I have learned so far, and how that impacts my music nowadays.
Lyric: "B*tch, I move through London with the euro-step. Got a sneaker deal and I ain't break a sweat"
Commentary: the second part of this line was not in the original version of the song. But a few days before releasing it, I finalized my contract with NIKE and I thought it would be so fun to sneak a little line like that in the song. So we just did it. I love that one.
Lyric: "Future took the business and ran it for me. I let Ollie take the owl, told him brand it for me. I get two million a pop and that's standard for me. Like I went blind dog, you gotta hand it to me"
Commentary: this is a pretty cocky set of lines to be honest. It is basically me saying that I left the game for a while and many artists released dope projects in that time and obviously did great numbers. And while I love them all, it is Drake season now, so I am sorry but they'll have to step aside for a bit!
Lyric: "Bills so big I call 'em Williams, for real. Reasons to go crazy, got a trillion for real. They been tryin' me but I'm resilient for real. I can't go in public like civilian for real"
Commentary: these are pretty self-explanatory. It's just being cocky about money and fame again. We snuck in a Destiny's Child reference in there, because you just have to. That Bills song is a banger.

For the performance, Drake walked around the stage in a grey-red outfit as he motioned to the camera several times and interacted with the crowd of cheering, horny women. He made his way through the stage while rapping each bar with confidence and ease, being very expressive and dancing a little every now and then. At a few parts, he pointed the microphone at the audience, and was met with a shy response as only a few women knew the lyrics to the song. Nevertheless, he continued the song and finished the performance with a big smile on his face. I just don’t like the inauthenticity some people bring into the music industry, like just make your stuff. The lyrics actually are pretty nice. Visuals, ehh, kind of serving thief.

It is the first single from my newest era, one of the first songs I wrote for my album, little over a year ago. Who would have thought it would end up being my lead single! But yeah, I am very proud of the song and happy I chose it as the one to introduce this new chapter of my life and career.

It is finally done and ready to be released! It is coming later this year but all I can say is it is going to be amazing. Probably my best album so far if I do say so myself!
On collaborating with NIKE
It is surreal, it is such a big brand that I can not wrap my head around the fact that I am at the point in my career that they even considered me to be an ambassador for them. But yeah, incredible things are coming really, really soon and I can not wait for that either. It is going to be a great year for us, just wait and see!
Drake performs "Nonstop"
After the hosts introduced Drake's performance, the camera cut to a close-up of his face. The camera got further and further from him to reveal a completely empty stage, colored in red thanks to a few lights pointing down from the ceiling. Drake spit the bars to the song as he approached the camera and audience, who reacted in cheers every time he interacted with them. The performance was very minimalistic and it seemed like Drake was just chilling and casually improvising his every move. Once the song was over and the lights came back to normal, the hosts joined Drake onstage to thank him for being there and to remind the audience "Nonstop" is out now everywhere.

At the top of the middle staircase in the audience is Camila Cabello. The camera focuses on her as she begins to sing the song’s first verse. She’s wearing tight black jeans along with a white blouse. Singing the verse, she slowly walks down the steps, often interacting with the audience. At the chorus of the song, Camila stops at a step in the middle and begins to perform choreography. The camera once again pans across the audience, and you can see all of the background dancers performing the same choreography as Camila on their respective staircases. Once the bridge of the song arrives, Camila is at the bottom of the steps and belts the lyrics. Suddenly the camera switches to the backup dancers as a dance breakdown instrumental plays. Some seconds later, the camera pans to the main stage, where Camila now is dancing yet serving vocals for the final chorus. The performance ends and the audience gives a standing ovation.

It is the first song I have chosen to drop from my upcoming album. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for giving it such massive support and my fans for rallying behind me with every release. It is my first song in like 5 years so I am pretty stoked about it. I think it perfectly shows where my mindset, both personally and professionally, is at the moment. While it is a pretty simple song in terms of production and lyrics, I think it sets the tone for my upcoming project and for everything else I am doing this year. On tour plans
Hopefully I get to do some of that 2021! I have been waiting forever to get back on the road and this album will be the perfect opportunity to do so. I love the energy between my fans and I whenever I am on tour and it truly is one of the best parts of doing this for a living. I just have so much fun travelling and visiting places and seeing so many people getting moved by my music and chanting the lyrics back at me. It is a feeling that I do not think you can feel anywhere else. So yeah, hopefully we can do that later on and I get to meet everyone and thank them personally for their support this year!
